"When politics enter into municipal government, nothing resulting therefrom in the way of crimes and infamies is then incredible. It actually enables one to accept and believe the impossible..."
-- Mark Twain, letter to Jules Hart, 12/17/1901

Community Calendars

There are several community calendars in Lane County that list events related to "sustainability," some are more comprehensive than others, some make more of an effort to screen out greenwashing events than others.

Perhaps some day there could be an integration of these efforts to make it easier to communicate clearly with the community.

City of Eugene
official government meetings (weblink from their website is too long to display properly, the City's website could get an award for the longest weblinks, making it nearly impossible to provide references)

Eugene Peace Works
http://ical.mac.com/WebObjects/iCal.woa/wa/default
?u=eugenepeaceworks&v=1&n=Eugene_PeaceWorks_and_other_Events.ics

Eugene Weekly calendar www.eugeneweekly.org
deadline for posting events, noon on Thursday before publication

Helios Resource Network www.heliosnet.org
Has a monthly "sustainability" calendar.

KLCC radio www.klcc.org/calendar.asp

Lane Current Calendar www.lanecurrent.net
fairly comprehensive, but includes a lot of government meetings that are not especially related to ecological concerns
