Envision Eugene is a City program to sell more and More and MORE growth to the City's citizens.
It claims to solicit public opinion about how this can be done, but the conclusion that expansion is desirable and inevitable is unalterable.
Oregon land use regulations state the Cities need to anticipate expansion over the next two decade with "urban reserves" of forests and farmland that will be urbanized as populations increase. There is no consideration of physical limits to growth, including the facts that fossil fuels are finite and climate change is reducing ecological carrying capacity.
